confessions on a dancefloor

Monday night at the Abbey in West Hollywood was THE place to be as they celebrated the release of Madonna's new album Confessions 0n a Dance Floor. I had always wanted to go to a party where the entire evening was dedicated to dancing to Madonna. What I didn't need was people being so nice to me and buying me four martinis. These are the few photos I am not too embarrassed to post. The one of me on the ground after falling (not impersonating her 1984 Like A Virgin perfomance at the VMA's, even though it looks similar) is being locked away and released after I am dead.

our new friends Sasha and Freddy found me with Basia and Douglas

poor Adam having to deal with my euphoria

Sasha made for a great dance partner, while Freddy was such a tall drink of gentleman

Douglas and Basia setting the room on fire

music, makes the people come together

i'm crazy for you

strike a pose

and the evening wouldn't have been complete without a visit with my friend Joe. happy one year anniversary darling.. xo

cause ya gotta have friends...

(cameron, inga, elise and ross outside Father's Office)

My Sunday afternoons and evenings are my sacred time to refresh and recharge for the week ahead... the rare exception is when I get to spend the afternoon with favorite friends laughing, telling stories, drinking beer and eating burgers...

such a delicious way to prepare for the week ahead...

R E N T

Everyone always asks me what I do... finally, I am proud to say, "I make movies..."

(click the photo for a desktop wallpaper)

I finally saw this movie last week and I can not urge EVERYONE enough to go out and see it. Many studios didn't want to make it because they thought it would feel too dated since it takes place in 1989. Who could've predicted that in 2005, we would still be fighting so much hatred and intolerance? This movie isn't about drag queens, junkies and AIDS. It is about friendship, love, support and heart. With these things, we can overcome and rise from the ashes to live our best lives. Be the best person we know how to be, no matter the circumstances and hardships we were born or fell into. Everyday is a new day. Just remember to live each day to the fullest with heart and kindness. And always take time to measure all that is around you... How do YOU measure a year?

How well do you know me?

I made a Quiz for you (ALL ABOUT ME)! Take this short 10 question quiz to find out how well you know me and then you can make your own to pay me back! Take my Quiz! and then Check out the Scoreboard!

Goodness, gracious... Great Balls of Quaid...

That doesn't quite sound right, but it sure makes me giggle!

I have loved Dennis Quaid since Innerspace and The Big Easy... Only once have I had sex like he had in that movie and it is my lifelong ambition to recreate it again... I still can't believe I finally got my picture taken with him...

I was going through the photos from last night and I came across these two pics from my all girls Oprah trip to Chicago last year... I realized I never shared them and I love them too much to keep them private! Wondering why tomatoes mean so much to me? Click here

You make me want to shoop!

True true highlight in my life...

Not only did I get to see Salt N Pepa sing tonight (they have not played together in over 7 years and were adamant about never performing together again)... but during Shoop, Pepa put the mic to my mouth so I could sing, "ooh, ooh, ooh!". Then, as if that weren't enough, when we met them backstage she said she loved how into it I was and that she couldn't resist putting the mic to my mouth. Sometimes I can be such a teenaged fan! They are legends. They are phenomenal. My hat is off to Dave Pinsky from Motorola who truly gave me a night to remember!

Shaking their tiny asses off!

The man who made it happen, Dave Pinsky

and my new friend Alan Cumming, just for good measure :-)
