Two Great Things I Read Today...

Potent Quotable

Jodie Foster, 42, tells Entertainment Weekly that she’s cool with being an actress at her age: “You don’t have to worry about being the ingénue or being cast as Tom Cruise’s girlfriend ever again.”

We’d Be Lying If We Said We’ll Miss Her…

The New York Post’s Page Six is reporting that Bridezilla, a.k.a. Star Jones, didn’t leave E!’s red carpet voluntarily. “She was pushed,” according to an insider. The gossip column explains, “Jones, who grated on the nerves of viewers and E! execs by continually promoting her wedding last year, made her final appearance as the cable channel’s red carpet reporter at the Emmys this month.” Jones insists she broke up with E! before they broke up with her, telling the Post that she’s too busy self-promoting her book (but we’re not promoting it, so we’re not giving the title!) about meeting with now-husband and reported gay-club aficionado Al Reynolds. Also not re-upped for another year at E! is fashionista Robert Verdi, who is reportedly up for a part in The Devil Wears Prada, opposite Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway. Filling their shoes on the red carpet will likely be gay faves Kathy Griffin and Carson Kressley, along with E! anchor Giuliana Depandi. But E! says, “Star was not fired and no decisions have been made as to the next red carpet team.”
