Here, Here **stands and applauds**.
I just love it when those who oppose gay marriage claim that gays marrying will weaken marriage for straight people. Are straight marriages that fragile? Are they that easily broken by the actions of their neighbors?
And don't even get me started on those so-called Christians who go on and on about the Bible "clearly" stating that homosexuality is evil. The Bible also says that people who don't keep kosher should be stoned to death. Same thing for people who work on Sundays.
We are a nation that denies an entire portion of our population the basic human right of marriage. It's sad and it needs fixing.
How true, Bob, how very true.
I know my marriage would never be threatened by allowing gays to marry. Who am I to deny to others the lifelong official commitment that I myself have? To me, that's the most UN-Christian thing imaginable.
