I love him and I am so proud! It's sucks that he had to put up with all the rumors. I wish him all the happiness in the world and hope that he gets enough support from his friends, family, and fans that he can ignore any backlash.
Lance is an amazing person regardless of whether he shares his personal life with the public and this is most definitely personal. Much happiness to you Lance.
I wasn't an N'Sync fan, but I am very well aware of the N'Sync boys. With that said, I just want to say that I support Lance coming out and I wish him continued success and more importantly, a peace of mind.
We're *all* so proud of him! It had to take a lot of courage to come out in a world that isn't always understanding and accepting, but the fact that he did shows just how strong he really is. I wish him all the happiness in the world...he deserves it. Congratulations, Lance!
I know it can't mean much coming from a total stanger, but I think what you did sets a good strong example for so many people out there. Just think, if you have helped even a few kids feel better or be okay with who they are you have made all the difference in the world. Best wishes to you.
Lance, I'm so proud of you! I know how difficult it must have been for you recently, with all of the gossip and whatnot. I just want you to know that even though we don't know each other, I support you. :-)
Lance, I am so happy for you and so proud of you. I'm sorry that you've had to deal with all the gossip going on lately, but I think it's awesome that you finally came out. You are the best. :)
I love your little blog here. I came here quickly wondering if you'd have something to say. Just seeing this makes my heart swell. You are a huge support for your friends and Lance is very lucky to have your support.
Lance: I'm so proud of you & happy for you too :) I know how hard it must have been for you to come out (as I've done it myself) I've been your fan since the start of Nsync & will remain your fan always. I wish you a very a happy life. Luv u @>---
I'm proud of you for coming out lance, Life's to short to go through it being something you're not It took a lot of courage for you to do what you did. lol i know i sound like a complete sap but i mean it when i say my feelings toward you will not change because of this. I commend you and i can't recall a day when i've been prouder to be your fan. *hugs*
I thought of you For some reason, despite the tens of thousands of times i've heard the song "Welcome To Where Ever you Are" by Bon Jovi. The line "You've got to believe that right here right now, you're exactly where you're supposed to be" seemed to fit you perfectly. if you have the chance give it a listen.
Always an *NSYNC, I love hearing how all the guys are doing. With recent events, I could not be more proud or happier for the sweet, kind soul of Lance... as a fan, I have never been more proud! *huggles to death* & yes, the JJBers are happy and proud as well ;)
We are all proud of Lance for staying true to himself and having enough courage to come out. This won't change anything. Lance is still Lance. We love you and support you 100%.
tomato, you know how i feel about this. for every person who is brave enough to be themselves (especially a celebrity with the public scrutiny giving them hell) there are hundreds of people who just got more brave seeing such courage. we shouldn't live in a world where it is so scandalous to discuss such things. we are human and we love who we love. i'm happy to see lance out (no pun intended) in the world being his authentic self. it's a beautiful thing!
I just have to say I am so happy for Lance. That he is at a point in his life that he feels secure in making this very difficult, very brave decision to open himself to the scrutiny of the world, and stand tall and proud is just the most wonderful thing. If he has helped even one person out there struggling with their own decision to come out, it has been worth it.
Lance, I wanted to give you my support and love. You deserve peace and happiness. I wish you a happy, fufilled life. I know you put a lot of thought and heart into your deciscion and it was yours to make. Thank you for being sweet, patient and loving you fans back. Tonya
I will always support Lance no matter what he does. He's still the same amazing man he was yesterday. Nothing has changed. He's lucky to be surrounded by such strong friends. He's lucky to have you in his corner, Bob. Warm wishes to both of you.
My nephew came out to all of us recently. I've kind of known for some time but for him to put it into words was a surprise. He should be a parent some day and I hope he will become one. All the same warm and fuzzy feelings I have for my nephew I have felt for Lance. Yes, we suspected you were gay, Lance. So? Did it affect the affection we felt? Never. What bothers me is that one has to "come out"? I never had to declare I liked men, why should you or my nephew have to? Until it's no big deal, it's not equality. I am sorry your Mom found out online. But, her heartache has more to do with YOUR safety and security then anything else I'm sure. We only want what's best and safe and predictable for our children, only these days no relationship is 100% secure and no one is immune from disease. We all merely do the best we can. I wish you well. May you find peace. Sues
I totally respect that Lance waited until he was ready to do it, on HIS terms. I'm sick of the gays, who have nothing to lose, insisting that everyone be out at all times. Screw you! It's a personal decision, and it's none of your business. Besides, I think it does our cause more good when a celeb makes it into the stratosphere (as Lance did), and THEN is able to ask "You loved me before, so what's new today?" It forces the hate to break down, as the mind tries to wrap around the disconnect. Lance is lucky to be surrounded by people who love and support him, and to have a generation following him, who doesn't care either way. Ten years ago, it would've been a different story. And because of him (and others who come out) ten years from now, it will be a BETTER story. Thanks Lance.
I've been a Lance fan seems like forever. I'm still one. It made no difference to me. I'm proud he decided it was in his best interest to come out. Glad he's happy with his life now. A happy Lance is a good thing. LOL So best of luck in everything from here on out. May you get the best. 100% BABY!
Thank God for friends like you, Bob! And, apparently, for friends like Lance as well. It's good to know that someone who has been on top of the world can also be so down to earth.
Lance, you'll probably never know how many people you've helped with your courageous announcement. My hope for you is that you are now allowed to just be yourself, without media stalkers trying to make your life miserable as they have for so long. And, of course, for happiness in all your relationships, romantic and otherwise.
lance i congratulate u 4 coming out so openly to every1, i could imagine how difficult it was 4 u! i support u in everything u do, reguardless of who ur dating! nothing changes ur talent or the happiness u have brought me the past 8 yrs. i am still and will always b proud 2 b an *N SYNC fan n i hope ppl see u 4 who u r not who u like! i love you lance :) ~jenn monteleone~
Lance, the fans couldn't be more proud of you. I have not heard or read a single thing besides the utmost praise and adorance from everyone. It never mattered to us and we just wished for you to be happy. Perez thinks he "broke" the story or whatever, but a lot of us have had strong assumptions since 2002 when Freddie was always around and then later, with Jesse (sorry if these are totally off base).
To read that you kept it a secret to protect the other guys and the groups career, that's so Brave Lance. And so loving that you put them before you. But it's your time to shine now :) . I think that things will only continue to go up for you and it makes all the fans happy that you can truly be happy now. Best of wishes for you and Reichen.
I congratulate Lance on the ability to find the hapiness he deserves by coming to terms with a part of what and who he truly is. Anyone who has lived a closeted life knows exactly what he has been going through - and that population is HUGE. His misfortune is having to be in the public eye while doing so.
I'm very proud of Lance for opening up to the world and showing his true colors and I hope him and Reichen the best! Though it saddens me that one of the hottest men on this earth is no longer availible to us females. lol Love the video of *Nsync and Britney! <333
some people don't need to come out. Lance was one of them. We already knew. We ALL already knew.
however, it is cool for the kiddies, that someone could have been successful, popular, and go for their dreams and be gay.
i DO wish he could have come out sooner. but, i think it'll probably be a couple generations before that's 'allowable'. only a few people are lucky enough to be able to do that.
I had the privilege of meeting Lance several times while working in L.A. He was like a breath of fresh air amongst a room full of posers. He was sweet enough to "say" he would pass my resume along to Johnny Wright backstage after a show. (I was silly ambitious!) We sat on a couch singing along to Cher's "Believe" (quite funny then, AND in retrospect!) and he complimented me on the silver butterfly clips in my hair. :) At the crowded hotel room afterparty, we faced each other holding hands swinging them back and forth while he told me how sweet I was. (yes, the alcohol was flowing) And when he visited my office, my co-workers unanimously sang him praises after he left. All of this babbling to say that he was always genuine, kind and courteous. A true gem amongst the LA crowd. I am so proud of him and it warms my heart to see so many people showing him the love and support he truly deserves. xoxo, kimbertimber
Hiya Bob... never commented on your site before, but check in occasionally, just 'cause I'm jealous that you lived my dream of randomly running into NSYNC and actually getting to know them.
If you happen to talk to Reichen, could you point him here. If the link doesn't work, it's myspace.com/raineesue and my latest blog.
Lance... for the record, yes, I spent a good chunk of my adolescence planning on marrying you. If I had invested all the money I spent on stupid kitsch with your face on it, I'd be a millionaire at 20 now, instead of an Ole Miss business student.
But it all had a reason: because there on the TV I saw this sweet, warm, good-hearted, kind, ambitious, friendly, engaging, witty and lovable young man -- someone who, in a lot of ways, reminded me of myself ('cept I can't sing) -- really genuinely making it in the world. To this day, you renew my faith in a lot of ways. You don't have to be catty or cruel to "make it" out there. You don't have to sacrifice what you believe in to be successful. And now, that you don't have to hide anything about yourself from the world.
Five years ago, you were a crush. Today, you're an inspiration, and a role model. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
5 years ago, 2 girls met each other bonding over a crush on Lance. Then 2 years ago, those girls went to Canada and married each other. And danced to NSYNC at the wedding. I am so happy and proud for Lance...You have always been your own person, and never let anyone change you (just your hair). Stay true to you, love your life and be the best guy you can. We all love you.
Something I HAVE for Lance: RESPECT Something I WISH for Lance: BLESSINGS
..so much adoration... Forgive the ignorant, relish in the support and know that SO MANY people in this world love, respect, admire and just plain ADORE you...
Lance, I admire the fact you came out and didn't care about what other people think. As long as your happy thats all that really matters. You rock, don't ever forget that!It must have been hard hear and see all those rumors that were going around. But you rose above it and in the end it makes you strong. Best wishes; hopefully see you may in Vancouver,BC in the year 2010.
From London (Canadian_ GURL) P.S yes my parents really named me London, not joke. After there favorite little song "London bridge is falling down"
Just wanted to say CONGRATS hon and welcome to the "club". Well, technically you've been in it for a while, but now you are an official member. (Your card is in the mail...)
Best of luck!
Jimmy :)
PS: Finally met Elvira (love her!) last weekend. Lance, you're next on my list...
Well, he was one of my crushes so that kinda sucks, but I am WAY proud of him. I know how hard it is to make that decision, and *I* only have to tell my FAMILY!
What a Perfect time to make a record! Classy, strong and important - not another defense, but a comfortable decloration. I'd love to help you write it...

And the difference between the fabulousness that was Lance Bass yesterday and the fabulousness that is Lance Bass today is....?
Hmm. No change. What a shocker!
Vixx xx ;-)
Somebody owes me some money.
Aha! that explains the cock-wallpaper in his bathroom.
