Feeling Disconnected.

September 29, 2006
Harmonious Interconnectedness
Cancer Daily Horoscope
You may feel disconnected in your relationships today, which could result in a sense of frustration and loneliness. While you may be tempted to focus on what is lacking in your connections with others, you may also want to think about your inner connection with yourself since that is where all intimacy begins. If you devote some time to developing a stronger connection with your higher self, you could also end up bringing a greater sense of connection to your relationships today. Simply choose a private setting, close your eyes, and envision an image of yourself in your mind’s eye. See yourself connected to the essence of the universe in the form of divine strands of energy. Notice that these strands weave through you and branch out to connect you with others.

Acknowledging our spiritual connection with the universe allows us to recognize our interconnectedness with others. A sense of disconnection from within can also manifest as an illusion of emotional distance from our loved ones. While our first reaction might be to focus on strengthening the intimacy of our relationships, doing so will not address the original source of the disconnection. By choosing to first strengthen our own sense of interconnectedness with the universe, we are able to feel more grounded and balanced within ourselves, which will also translate to deeper intimacy and connection in our relationships with others. By recognizing and remedying the source of your feelings of disconnection today, you can create a more lasting sense of harmony in your relationships.

THANK YOU

I am going to be arrogant and assume it is because of all of my fantastic friend's votes that Willa and Maks are still in the competition! So I thank you and I know Willa thanks you. She couldn't be happier and neither could I!

Get a load of this blurb from People.com- they mentioned our T-shirts!

Romance Alert!

It seems there's more off-the-dance-floor chemistry brewing between the Stars partners. A source tells us that sparks are flying between Willa Ford and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. "We have a great relationship," said Chmerkovskiy. Ironically, the judges told the pair to do more bonding on the dance floor. "We rehearse more than any couple here and just because we go to dinner afterward, we shouldn't be penalized," said the singer, whose pals sported pink T-shirts that read "Willa to the Maks."

We gave her a full interview, but we must not have said anything too interesting!

Can't get enough of my mug on the boob tube? I was at the taping last night of Celebrity Duets
(I'll write more about the experience after it airs). I am down in the front facing the far right of the stage and sitting with Grant Show. The camera was up my nose a few times, so you should be able to see me at least once. Oh and while you are at it, you can vote for my friend Alfonso if I haven't worn out my voting favors...

Eating with the stars

Did you vote?

We'll find out tonight I suppose... I thought Willa was gorgeous and her dance was fantastic. The judges got mad at her for a supposed lift, but the lift never occurred. He supported her while she flipped over his knee, but he didn't actually lift her in the air. Sound technical? Well since that is what the judges were being, the defense has to be as well.

But it makes no difference. She was still wonderful and afterwards, we all stuffed our faces on Italian food and laughed the night away. My fingers are crossed for the results show tonight. She definitely doesn't deserve to go home. Thank you to everyone who is voting just because I have asked you. It means a lot to me and it means even more to her!!!

Oh and one other thing. Does anyone else know who Chuck Liddell is? He's a very sweet guy and I enjoyed hanging out with him last night, but I have never heard of him and EVERYONE was excited to see him wherever we went. It was wild! I guess I'm just not his demographic!

My friends need your help!

I'll be in the audience tonight (Tuesday) of Dancing With The Stars. We'll be wearing T-shirts in support of our Willa. CLICK HERE to vote for her and vote for her and vote for her. This competition means a lot to her and I know with your help, we can keep her in!!

Then if you only get out and see one show the first week of October, it should be this one! My friend from High School, Everett High School on top of that (so she has known me since I was 14 and thin!), is producing and starring in a sketch comedy show October 5, 6, 7th and 8th! Not enough? How about the fact that my friend Eric (Beneric, that was Ben- this is now) is the director! Would love to have everyone out supporting it!

And finally for today, come out and join me at The Joint this Thursday night to see my friend Brad Wolfe singing his heart out!!!! I'd love to get a big crowd out to see him!!

You can also add him as a myspace friend by clicking here.

Have I steered you wrong yet???

Joanne and Russ tie the knot!

This past weekend, my friends Joanne and Russ were married in one of my favorite cities, Santa Barbara. The ceremony went off without a hitch. The weather was perfect and the blood orange martinis were delicious...

my friends mary and erick who were so kind as to let me stay with them. their new home was so gorgeous, the four seasons would have felt like slumming! as soon as i got there, we headed off for a late mexican lunch and in the courtyard was a fountain of living turtles...
(all the photos enlarge by clicking on them)

joanne gliding down the aisle...

dawn, myself and bonnie. i told myself i wouldn't be drinking, but it was the only way to cope with my inability to dance.

you know how much i love cake AND red is my signature color!

we were the willing testers as the bartender (david) invented the blood orange martini

she's my bonnie bee...

and her man steven...

the only way to enjoy cake is to cut it...

amber alert! i promised her she'd make the website!
but why is my jacket popping out like that?

this is mary and me just seconds before I drove home.
i'm seriously considering relocating there.
yep, I said it.

now for this woman. you have never in your life seen a photographer like this. she never once crouched and during the ceremony and dinner, this was exactly what you saw every time you wanted to take a photo. isn't the photographer supposed to be stealth and unobtrusive?

What's it all about AL-fie?

Last night I ventured out again to celebrate my friend Alfonso's birthday at a small gathering at my friends Grant and Polly's. I'm still having a Hell of a time breathing (I will write more about that later) and I am so bored with being an old granny in the corner having to watch all of the action, but it doesn't mean I don't grab a good photo op when I have the chance! I'm off to Santa Barbara for the weekend to visit some friends and attend a wedding. Maybe the Santa Barbara air is just what my lungs need! Happy weekend everyone! xox

Here are some of Al's Celebrity Duets cast members. Al was excited when I confirmed these would be on planetbaub. I don't know why I still pretend in my mind I am doing this website for like five of my friends from high school! And who knew Hal Sparks had such a long tongue??

Our hosts... the generous and lovely, Polly and Grant Show...

The birthday boy and the lovely Lucy Lawless

Polly and Al were having a serious Michael Jackson
Off the Wall moment...

Lucy and her sweet daughter Daisy

Have you ever seen a pizza look so good?

Madonna Explains Crucifix Scene

Posted: 22 September 2006 - From Warner Brothers Press Release -source

In response to the indecision by NBC whether or not to broadcast Madonna's crucifix Live To Tell performance, Warner Brothers have released this statement from Madonna explaining the reasons behind this segment of the show:

As Madonna's Confessions Tour comes to an end in Japan this week, the artist has released a statement regarding the much talked about Crucifixion scene.
'I am very grateful that my show was so well received all over the world. But there seems to be many misinterpretations about my appearance on the cross and I wanted to explain it myself once and for all.'
'There is a segment in my show where three of my dancers 'confess' or share harrowing experiences from their childhood that they ultimately overcame. My 'confession' follows and takes place on a Crucifix that I ultimately come down from. This is not a mocking of the church. It is no different than a person wearing a Cross or 'Taking Up the Cross' as it says in the Bible.'
'My performance is neither anti-Christian, sacrilegious or blasphemous. Rather, it is my plea to the audience to encourage mankind to help one another and to see the world as a unified whole. I believe in my heart that if Jesus were alive today he would be doing the same thing.'
'My specific intent is to bring attention to the millions of children in Africa who are dying every day, and are living without care, without medicine and without hope. I am asking people to open their hearts and minds to get involved in whatever way they can.'
The song ends with a quote from the Bible's Book of Matthew:
For I was hungry and you gave me food. I was naked and you gave me clothing. I was sick and you took care of me and God replied, 'Whatever you did for the least of my brothers....you did it to me.'
'Please do not pass judgment without seeing my show.'
Madonna's 'Confessions Tour - Live From London' is scheduled to air on NBC this November. NBC has not confirmed whether they will include this portion of the show in their broadcast.

Holiday Celebration.

This is more freaky and insane than Ally McBeal's dancing baby. I can hear Madonna's Holiday. I am still scratching my head. What a wonderful way to start the weekend!!

How fun!

Click here... my interview with Debbie Deborah Gibson has been quoted by a New England website! (and if you notice, so was my friend Tony!)
